Hello everyone,

It's been a while since there's been any posts on this blog. Is there anyone who wants to take over this community? Please comment if interested. :)

Thanks!

Well... I made the decision.

The community that was solid_beat was purged and I got notification of it.

Welcome all to the new [livejournal.com profile] solid_beat , formerly janne_no_kayu.

Hi everyone, [Poll #1262735]When a week is up, I'll hold a poll for the suggested community names and you guys can choose the winner. :D

[identity profile] desmei.livejournal.com

I thought I might as well post these here; they were previously posted on [livejournal.com profile] jrock_scans and [livejournal.com profile] solid_beat (does anyone know what happened there?).

The booklets were the foldout sort and the lyrics were one continuous picture, so there is some overlap on the lyrics scans (made sure each song was complete on a scan). The lyrics are as readable as the source (i.e., not very due to font choices and style). If there are any problems with them, please let me know

Hey guys,

Do any of you have scans you want to share here? I'd really appreciate it!  I think we can even include photoshoots from before ka-yu's solowork.

Also, if you have MySpace, this is the music profile for ka-yu: http://www.myspace.com/kazuyukimatsumoto

I'm pretty sure it's fan-run, or company run, but it's still cool!

Most of you, if you have followed [livejournal.com profile] heavens_place, have probably already seen this interview, but once again I thought that I'd share anyways, because maybe there might be someone who hasn't!

Anyhow, this was translated by the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] kikuko_kamimura:

Janne Da Arc's bassist, ka-yu, is now doing solo work under his real name, Kazuyuki Matsumoto. His first album, "Solid Beat", is already on sale. Continuing with his very intense compositions, his second album, "Solid Beat II", went on sale December 26. Currently, Kazuyuki Matsumoto is in the midst of his nationwide tour, "Tour Solid Beat ~Greed or Purity~". Furthermore, his original brand, "Solid Beat", now has its own online shop.
In the midst of intriguing, multifaceted activity, he gave us time to talk and focus on the musical aspects.

Are you enjoying your solo work?

Solo work in and of itself allows you to take things at your own pace, and I feel that it allows me to bring out my own strength (in terms of relaxing), so I do feel as if I enjoy appearing and things like that on my own.

As Kazuyuki Matsumoto, you've expanded your horizons into becoming a vocalist, too.

Hahaha. A vocalist, huh...to speak honestly, as far as singing is concerned, I haven't captured the depth behind it. Even so, I am having fun doing it all the same. In terms of my attitude when I sing, as well, more than just saying, "This feeling is strong, I have to make this stand out," the voice is just one instrument that can bring out a feeling, and just in that, no matter what I have fun while I'm singing.

I think you can see this by watching you on stage, but along with your guitarist, Kenta Harada, and your drummer, Ryu, you've been pursuing rock numbers. Just that in itself makes you look, visually, like you're having a lot of fun.

The sound that the three of us produce gives me a really good feeling, too. More than anything else, it's fun. It's just because the songs I've been writing seem to fit with the personalities of those two, but somehow, I'm not worried about the first time I bring a song out. Those two just play it the way they want to, as well. Of course, nominally, it's my solo project in the end. All of us, at least in feeling, are a band, surely. I think it's natural that it would become apparent how we feel, when we're doing our work being very aware of that.

Many of you might have seen this before, as it's an offshot from Janne da Arc's 10th Anniversary at Nanba Rockets, but I hadn't and thought I would share. Ka-yu is so adorable at times. I thought this was so cute! Especially when he pushes yasu out the door. XD

Fanlisting

Hey guys,

I found a fanlisting for ka-yu, http://sunday.angeltrip.net/kayu/index.php and thought that maybe some of you might want to join! I have emailed to see if they will affiliate, so we will see.

[identity profile] hana-ginkawa.livejournal.com
Hey guys,

what do you think about a name change for the community? I'm thinking yes, unless you don't mind or prefer   [profile] janne_no_kayu.

Anywho, I'm prepared to offer up, as reward for the name chosen, a Paid Membership for 6 months. OR, if you already have a paid account, then the 100 userpic option for a year.

So, start suggesting! Just remember to double check and make sure the journal name isn't already in use.

Contest ends August 20, 2008!

Suggest names here and on the 20th we'll have a poll and decide what name to change this community to.

If you need ideas, go to ka-yu's website on the profile page, or song titles or a lyric that you think would be cool.

We'll have more contests after that so don't worry if you don't get the prize this time around. Have fun!

Hey guys!

Since the other community that focused on ka-yu's work on his solid_beat project seems to have been deleted and I don't know when it might be reinstated, if ever, let's get this community going!

In the next few days, I'll be working on the layout, and if you have any suggestions, than lay them on me!
[identity profile] hana-ginkawa.livejournal.com
Well, it has certainly been a while since I last checked this community. Nice to know there are still members hanging around.

Anyhow, I want to change the layout. So, I would like to find some good pictures of Ka-yu. If you have any to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've fallen very behind on stuff as far as Ka-yu is concerned. I need to catch up!
[identity profile] hana-ginkawa.livejournal.com

But I never seem to remember when I'm online. . . I'm a horrible fan. . .

Anyway, I want you guys to share the tale on how ka-yu became your favorite of the Janners.  And if you're fave member isn't ka-yu but you still like him enough to be a member of this community, then share your story on how your obsession with Janne da Arc began.

As for me, it all began on a coldish day in November of 2004 when [profile] kikuko_kamimura invited me over to watch some Malice Mizer, hide, Janne da Arc, etc, because I didn't have a clue and wanted some help with finding out more about Japan's offerings of musicians, etc.  We ended up watching Janne's "Fate or Fortune" concert.  I remember looking at all the members and having my gaze drawn to the man in leather with piercings playing the bass.  And that was that.  There has been moments when Yasu looks hot enough to sway me, but I always ALWAYS have loved ka-yu.  I'm a girl who appreciates tattoos and piercings, oh yes indeed.

Anyway, share your stories, and let's get this community a little less quiet!

Yours in mutual ka-yu devotion,

Hey guys, sorry there aren't many posts here. . .

Meh.

Anyway, if you haven't already, check out [profile] heavens_place for news regarding the boys and DVDs.  Also there's news on ka-yu and his new bass. . . So, go, check it out.

In other news, what should we do with this community?  Ideas would be greatly welcome!

DEATH! ! !

My name is Hannah and I've been a fan of Janne da Arc for almost three years now. My first two songs were 'Rasen' and 'Black Jack' [from Arcadia, I believe? Tell me if I'm wrong]. So yeah. They're my favorite band, and ... I think that just about covers it. ^^ Oh yeah, and Kayu x Yasu is my OTP.

Just thought I'd introduce myself with a great picture of Kayu and Shuji. This is during the filming of Sylvia.

[identity profile] hana-ginkawa.livejournal.com
I obviously don't have enough to do because I decided that ka-yu needed some love.  ^_^

Anywho, post away, be courteous to others and have fun.  Above all, worship the man who plays bass for the Japanese rock band Janne Da Arc.
